No mom, we are NOT muggles.

So, we are a bit behind the curve on the whole "Harry Potter Phenomenon". I never read the books, or saw the movies. Until now. One night, Wyatt and I started watching "The Sorcerer's Stone", and he was hooked. (If I am totally honest, so am I.)

I ordered Movies 1-5 from Amazon. No tax, free shipping. All 5 DVDs came in for like 27 bucks. NOT BAD!

So now, the kids ask each night to watch. I haven't let them watch the last few because they have a higher rating (PG-13), and Wyatt can be a little nervous about 'scary stuff'. Chase, however, has no fear. Well, unless you ask him to watch "The Prisoner of Azcaban" because the werewolf is just too much for he and Wyatt.

Anyway... Chase is my little spell caster. He LOVES this spell.

Wyatt's fave spell is "EAT SLUGS!"

I tried to explain to them that we were Muggles - Non Magical peeps. They didn't buy it. They still mention ALL the time that they wish they "had magic". One day, Chase told me he had his magic in his pocket.

When they get mad at me, for whatever lame reason, I get demoted from Hermione to MALFOY. I don't even get called Draco... Wyatt says: MOM, YOU ARE MALFOY! eek!

They are too cute. If we didn't already have their Halloween costumes lined up, they both were DYING to be Two Harry Potters. They have agreed to share that role. No one ever wants to be Ron. Poor Ron. They love Scabbers (Ron's Rat) more than Ron.

I guess the plus side of our addiction to Harry Potter is we have "Family Movie Night" every night. A little together time never hurt anyone, eh? Love my boys! They are a kick! I'll have to get Wyatt to record a few spells so I can load more vids of them. Classic.

A-dor-able! My girls love HP, too. Last fall, Sophia needed to "go shopping to get ready for Hogwarts". She needed a telescope, her robes, an owl, a wand- of course- a cauldron... the whole nine yards... So, for Christmas, Santa brought her HP robes, cauldron, wand, the scarf- even an owl in a cage (stuffed owl- but, you know!) She was in HOG(warts) Heaven! It is so much fun. The books are awesome. Classics. Make sure you read the books, not just watch the vids b/c the books are SO much betta!

Yes, my dad is an UBER HP fan and told me the books have so much more good stuff! Guess I should grab those from Amazon too! hee hee Cute idea about the Hogwarts stuff. If they weren't getting a Wii for Christmas, I would have been all over that! As it stands...that is ALL they are getting from me! ha!

so darling! maybe the grandparents can spoil them with HP stuff, since Pat is an UBER fan! :) I would love to see more spells!

BTW-- don't get too attached to scabbers. I won't spoil it, but not a good thing... :P

So, does that make Dad Snape, Lucious Malfoy, or Dumbledore?

Love it! My boys are so in love with those books. They will find wands and play HP until the cows come home.

Make sure you read the books. They are great.

Bummer about the table hurting both boys. I'm trying to get into the Harry Potter mode, with the books, but not going so well so far. I should just go for the movies...

Insert something clever here.
