My little Soccer Stud

It's official. I am a soccer mom. And well, I don't feel any different...

Wyatt, on the other hand, is a whole other story. :) He's on cloud nine.

We were finally able to find a program that took place on Saturdays. The City of Mesa classes all assume that there aren't any single working moms on the planet. #idiots #fail Each of their classes was mid day during the week. Young Champions of America came through for us though with a Saturday option! w00t!

At any rate, we got Wyatt all signed up. Not a horrible expense. $73 bucks for 11 weeks. That was just a drop in the bucket though compared to the other expenses you have to tack on. Who knew you needed so much GEAR?!

I of course got him all the essentials...but the package was NOT complete without a Smack Talking T-Shirt. I mean, come on. Every little punk has to have one of those!

Chase, of course, wasn't thrilled that he was too young to participate, so he and Wyatt "shared" the soccer socks the night before.

Well, by Saturday morning, Wyatt was giddy. Ready to go! We got him all dressed up and of course I made him pose. He was a sport...and super cute in his gear. Even Aunt Lindsay was excited for him to be an official 'soccer dude'!

We got to the field and the place was PACKED! Fortunately, I was computer savvy enough to pre-register, so we avoided the line. I was pretty impressed with the turn out, but definitely thought there were WAY too many kids.

There were about 35 kids total there, but fortunately we got broken up into teams of about 10, and assigned a team name and a practice time. Wyatt is officially one of the....

Chase and I of course sat on the sidelines..acting as the cheer squad.

Wyatt did really well his first time out... he did get plowed by some larger chicks that clearly were not taught manners, but he bounced back like a champ. And well, Chase is just WAITING for his day to shine.
