So Many Updates…. So Little Time….

Okay, so I basically am just going to upload all the pictures on my camera and give you a recap of what’s going on.

First, we’ll start off with the remodel. Pulled some REALLY CRAPPY Flooring out, and put in some really awesome carpet! Most of you know my mom is queen of finding fantastic deals. She never disappoints. I was able to get some really great Karastan Carpet that typically runs 40/yard or more for 8 BUCKS a yard. Love it! It makes the room so much more open/inviting. The kids love playin’ in this room…which isn’t really what I had hoped for…because the couches in this room are less forgiving than the leather ones we keep in the family room… but what can you do?

Okay… for some reason I got it in my head that I wanted to get either an XBOX 360 or a Wii. Opted for the XBOX 360 Elite. We are totally loving it! Although, I bought Wyatt all sorts of games and the ONE and ONLY game he cares anything about is the Indiana Jones/Lego’s game. Forget about Kung Foo Panda, Racing Games, CARS game, PacMan (okay, I bought that one for me), Guitar Hero World Tour… Wyatt is ONLY interested in Indiana Jones. In his defense though…. WE are ALL addicted. Even Martie Jo picks up the controller when no one is looking and plays!




I will also add that surprisingly, we spend a LOT more time in the same room together as a family now that we have the system. Before, I’d be off reading a magazine or watching my DVR while the boys were glued to Nickelodeon. NOT ANY MORE. We all just hang out and watch each other play…. So, I won’t say it was a bad investment. Also… do NOT be fooled by Chase holding a controller. The kid has NO skill…and the only time he gets to play is when he ACCIDENTLY powers on his controller. We let him hold the controller to feel cool…but never power it up for him! Poor kid. LOL



I’ll insert ANOTHER stinky fish Wyatt has caught. That kid LOVES to fish, and my parents even said in his prayer the other night (they stay at my parents 1 night a week and LOVE it), Wyatt blessed mommy to take him fishing. Let’s keep it real, that prayer won’t be answered…but at least his dad doesn’t mind taking him. We have a park less than a mile away that has a lake that they stock with Fish. So convenient.



Oh wait! Another remodel update… I had some really crappy wire shelving in the pantry…and while I’m NO WHERE NEAR having a ‘year supply’, I definitely try to stay stocked up… At any rate, the shelves were starting to come out of the wall. I guess like 30 boxes of cereal might do that!


So, I had Matt put in some wood shelving. Cost me about 150 in supplies, but FREE LABOR. Love to have an ex-husband that owes you a favor! Now, the only thing I have left to do is get some vinyl lettering from my sitter (who does lettering and has the CUTEST ideas). I am going to just get things like ‘pasta’ and ‘veggies’ and ‘baking supplies’ and put them on the face frames of the shelf. Should look cute if I get it right.



Okay….and the FINAL thing I need to report out on….IF you’ve made it this far in my long (slightly boring) blog post. Wes blew it. The guy totally blew it. All chances for him with me are lost. And I’ll post a picture of the t-shirt I wore out the night I CANCELLED on him because HE BLEW IT.



This shirt sums up EXACTLY what I expect from a guy…and exactly what Wes didn’t deliver. So….on to the next. I’m definitely not heart broken … I have BIG PLANS this week…as you are all aware… and will be glad to have some down time. I guess I could also return some of the calls of the guys I blew off the past few weeks... Once ‘New and Improved Tiffany’ is recuperated and ready to get back out there.
