Happy 7th Birthday, Wyatt!

Have I mentioned I'm remodeling?

Yes, I know it's all I post about. I PROMISE to post something about Wyatt and his big 7th birthday bash...


But .. this post is dedicated to me loving my new bathroom. :) It's a lot more expensive than I figured...but so worth it!

Plumber came out and installed the 2 shower head lines and also helped change up the tub fixtures to nicer ones. You can see that here:




My shower guy came out bright and early today and started putting in the new floor. SO EXCITED!



Of course, progress will be slow for a week because I have to fly out to Texas A&M for the week, but I'll be right back at it when I'm back in town! Hoping to be back in action w/in 2 weeks!

Out with the old!

Finally pulled out the crappy nasty old shower. Tomorrow the plumber comes to re-route the drain, install a second shower head and update the tub faucet. One more step closer to done! I am putting myself on a deadline now that I've invited a jillion friends over for a Halloween party in October! :)

Once the plumbing is set, I have my tile guy ready to come in and install the travertine. #Woohooooo

After Photos - Master Bath

The big ticket items are still yet to come. The new shower will cost the most..but will be OH SO WORTH IT! More travertine work is done though. A few things to check off the list...

Remaining:

Tear out old shower, re-route the plumbing -adding in dual shower heads
Build the travertine shower - floor to ceiling
Order glass door and install
Finish with new bath bars and figures along with some new mouldings... Then... figure out what the next project will be. *sigh*

Master Bathroom... yes, still a WIP.

Dang, I have been slacking on the remodel!

I finally got around to removing the porcelain tile in there. Now, I need to get the backsplash installed around the bathroom sinks. Once I finish that, I rip out the shower, get my plumber over here to work some magic and then I will be on the home stretch!

I will have to hire someone to build the custom travertine shower, and then put in the travertine floors, hire someone to do all the base mouldings... and Voila! I will be done.

Dang, bathroom remodels SUCK! :)

Master Bathroom Remodel

Yes, I do suck at blogging... Whatevs. :)

So, 2011 is the year for my new Master Bath! Excited!

You all knew I redid the cabinets already - same time I did the kitchen.

Here were the before and after on the cabinets.

Next up, is the tub surround. The tub itself is great. I rarely take a bath anyway and I'm not here to install jacuzzi tubs for my boys! LOL

Easy Peasy.

The tile guys are coming on Friday to do travertine around the tub. My granite counter guy is coming on Saturday to replace this CRAP:




Also, the shower is being ripped out. I'm putting in a larger one and a wall to support it.... that is one of the last things on my list though. All faucets, mirrors and fixtures = acquired.



Much to do to make this no longer a RETRO 1980's pathetic bathroom! :)
